Bollywood hunk John Abraham will star in yet another UTV Productions called ‘Film City’ in Bombay. John Abraham, has done films such as Dhan Dhana Dhan-Goal for the production house and has 2 more films in various stages of production. Also UTV Productions seems to be the favorite production house of John Abraham, he even reduced his acting fees by 60% for his film ‘Hook Ya Crook’, who was followed by the rest the cast and crew members of the film who also reduced their fees.
The comedy film is tentatively titled as Film City film will be the directorial debut of TV Software Communications co-founder and UTV executive director Deven Khote. The film will be produced under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures and John Abraham will play himself in the film.
It is reported that shooting for ‘Film City’ at Bombay film city , which has been written by Sharat Katariya of ‘Bheja Fry’ fame and has music by Ram Sampat will start in April, and the film will be completed in a 50 day start to finish schedule. ‘Film City’ is set in a locality outside a ‘Film City’ like studio, where spot boys, stunt men and camera assistants reside. According to reports, ‘Film City’ is a fun film. It is not moralistic and does not show the dark side of the film industry. The film also has a completely new starcast, auditions for whom were taken in last 6 months

Jr. NTR’s ‘Adurs’ in Malayalam
Jr. NTR’s latest film ‘Adurs’ starring Nayantara and Sheela as the heroines in the direction VV Vinayak will reportedly be dubbed in Malayalam. B. Vamsi Mohan is producing the film under Vaishnavi Arts banner and is presented by Kodali Nani. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for this movie. Currently, the shooting of the film is progressing in the surroundings of Hyderabad. The film will be released in July, 09.It is known that there are many distributors in Kerala who are interested in releasing a dubbed version of the film. The heroines Nayantara and Sheela are hailed from Kerala and have a good fan following there, which can help draw audiences to the theatres in a big way. Nayantara, who did a bikini act in ‘Billa’ in Tamil is once again going to repeat the same act in this film as she is facing tough competition in Tamil and Telugu from Anushka and Priyamani.

The film ‘Ontari’ stars Gopichand and Bhavana in the main roles is being dubbed in Tamil as ‘Subramaniyam’ by Aishwarya Creations. The flick was directed by choreographer-turned-director B.V. Ramana. Pokuri Babu Rao produced the film under Eetaram Films banner. The movie was released in February 2008 and collected well at the box-office. The flick is also expected to do well in Tamil Nadu as well. The heroine Bhavana, a popular heroine in Tamil is a plus point for this film, which can help to grab the audiences to the theatres. Manisharma has composed the music for it and cinematography by Sarvesh Murari. Many Tollywood films are going to be dubbed in Tamil, as very few Tamil movies are releasing in March.

Surya, Tamanna’s ‘Veedokkade’

The film ‘Veedokkade’ starring Surya and Tamanna in the main roles is being produced by well-known banner AVM Productions. Cinematographer KV Anand, director of cinematography of Rajinikanth’s ‘Sivaji’ is directing the film. This is a bilingual film and will be simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil (titled ‘Ayan’). Harris Jayaraj is scoring the music for this film.

According to the producers, “The film is a combination of love and action. We shot some of the scenes including a song ‘Nene Nene’ on the lead pair Surya and Tamanna. Some fight scenes were shot in a small island called Zanzibar in Tanzania under the direction of fight master Kanal Kannan. This is 174th film on our banner. We are planning to release the film both in Telugu and Tamil in April”.

Siddarth new movie

Siddarth and Shamili’s ‘Oye’ in Vizag

The shooting of the film ‘Oye’ starring Siddarth and Shamili in the lead roles is under brisk progress. The movie has completed its more than 50 percent of the shooting. It is known that a House Set costing Rs 30 lakhs was erected at Rishikonda beach, 15 kms away from Vizag. Currently, the shooting of the film is progressing in the beautiful beaches of Ramakrishna beach, Rishikonda beach, Rani Chandramani Devi hospital and few other local places in Vizag. A few important scenes are being shot on Siddarth, Shamili and Krishnudu. The film schedule will continue till the March end. The flick is being planned to release in May.

The movie is said to be a romantic love entertainer where a strong love blossoms between the youngsters and how they get together in the end by chasing all the hurdles. DVV Danayya is producing this flick under his Universal Media banner while Anand is making his directorial debut with this film.

Hansika in Pandugadu

Hansika & Puneet Rajkumar’s 'Pandugadu'

The hit Kannada film 'Bindaas' starring Puneet Rajkumar and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles is being dubbed into Telugu with the title 'Pandugadu’ under Santhosh Productions banner by J Balaraju. D Rajendra Babu has directed the film. Guru Kiran has composed the music for this film. Suman, Nassar, Vanitha and Suma Ranganath are acting other important roles.

Briefing about the film producer J Balaraju said: “All the songs in the film have been picturized in foreign locations. Heroine Hansika’s romantic scenes will attract the youth audience very much. We are planning to release the film in the last week of March. The Kannada film ran successfully for 100 days in 25 centers and collected over 25 Cr. I hope that the film 'Pandugadu’ will be a good hit in Telugu also”.

'Jallu' to release in March end
The 'Jallu' starring debutants Jayanth and Prerna as lead roles has completed its shooting. Currently the flick is under post production works and is getting ready for release by the March end. The movie is directed by VV Narayana and Recherla Subhash Naidu has produced it under Recherla Movie Creations banner. Speaking to press producer Subhash Naidu said: “VV Narayana has directed this youthful romantic movie in good manner. We are planning to release the film in the last week of March. There are 6 songs in the film and Nihal has scored the excellent music. I am sure that the flick 'Jallu' will get the support of audience”.

Charmme coming as ‘Manorama’
The film ‘Manorama’ starring Charmme and debutant Nishan in the main roles has completed its shooting. Eswar Reddy of ‘Mee Sreyobhilashi’ fame is directing the film and is being produced under Zee Motion Pictures banner. Currently the film is in post production works. Koti is scoring the music for this film. Ali and MS Narayana are acting other prominent roles. Briefing about the film director Eswar Reddy said: “The “Manorama” is entirely from my previous flick ‘Mee Sreyobhilashi’. It is a romantic thriller movie. Who is Manorama and what is the link between her and the story is the crux of the plot. A street and one apartment set costing Rs 35 lakhs has been erected in Ramanaidu Cine village at Nanakramguda and 90 percent of the scenes has been shot here. Charmme’s acting is an asset for the movie. The audio of the film will be released in March first week and we are planning to release the movie on 27th March”.

The film ‘Love 4 Ever’ starring debutants Randeep and Mrudula in the lead roles has completed its 75 percent of the shooting. Jayant C Paranji is both directing and producing the film under Laughing Waters Entertainments banner.
